Pulled Pork (Slow Cooker)

  1. In small bowl, stir together salt, paprika, garlic powder and brown sugar.
  2. Spray 4- to 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray or use slow cooking liner.
  3. Rinse pork roast under cool water. Rub salt mixture on pork to cover completely. Put extra mixture in slow cooker.
  4. Add about 5 cups of filtered water ot the slow cooker. Place pork in slow cooker, try not to rub off any of the dry rub.
  5. Add water on the side until just covers the pork loin.
  6. Cook on High heat setting 8 hours.
  7. About half way through, add more water on the side of the pork until it just covers the porc loin.
  8. Remove the pork loin, use 2 forks to shred pork. Stir in barbecue sauce until well mixed. (If pork is dry, or need to thin BBQ sauce, use excess liquid from slow cooker)
